Everyone sit the fuck down. I don’t care if you are a fan of Sherlock, or a fan of old fashion Holmes, or a fan of Elementary, hell if you’re a fan of some sort of indie Holmes adapt about aliens, sit the fuck down too.

First off, about me.
-I like Sherlock
- I will give Elementary a shot
-I watch Granada Holmes
-I watched the American movies
-I read the books.
And you know what? I don’t give a flying fuck about any adaptations. Not a single fuck.
You know why? First off, I know the creator would give no fucks and he is the only one I think has a say in this matter. No seriously, ACD hated Holmes. He was quoted to say roughly “I don’t care what the fuck you do with him.”
Okay so now that the ACD point is out of the way let’s move on, shall we?
You know why I don’t care if someone were to make an adaptation about Holmes and Watson being mermaids? Because it’s none of my business. No one is going to make me watch the damn thing. Sure, I don’t have to approve of it, but that doesn’t mean I can go yell at people who like Sherlock and Watson solving cases under the sea because that would be childish of me.
Yes, childish. You heard it here. You lot are being childish.
I can say this with merit, too. Because the only other place I’ve seen people talk like this about this and get fussed about things that don’t directly offend them is on writing sites where groups of 12 year olds flock and write bad poetry. Seriously, that is the only place I have ever seen this fuckery.

SHERLOCK HOLMES FANDOM (RE)READ 2011 WIP POST
All right, guys. Here’s the deal. I just made a post about how I’d love to get the entire BBC Sherlock fandom- many of whom haven’t gotten the chance to read some of the canon material- talking about a few selected writings on tumblr at the same time. The point of this isn’t me or anyone else being snobbish, but rather giving everyone a chance to experience the wonderful original works. In my opinion, it gives one a better understanding of the show- after all, Moff and Gatiss are huge fans of the stories.
PROPOSED READING
The idea here is that anyone can read these stories, roughly at any time, but that people would devote a few hours each week to making their way through the reading list. It’s not a homework assignment, after all, but more for discussion purposes. And feel free to discuss, add, or remove ideas as this post circulates! I’m really not going to take part in this argument about tv show breaks unless it’s length (like months or days. Those are facts)
The truth is, hellatus (to quote the Supernatural fandom) is painful no matter how long. I’m not pissed at Glee people. Waiting for them must have been horrible. Just like waiting for Supernatural (3 DAYS) is horrible. Or waiting for Sherlock (I LOST COUNT) is horrible.
So there really is no arguing here. At least not in my point of view. So have fun those who tv shows are back. Those who aren’t be happy for them.
Those who are waiting keep calm and carry on. And maybe those who have their shows back can give us a cheer up as well.
